A 56-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following a shooting in Houston, according to local authorities. Ennis Randolph III, the suspect in the case, is facing charges in connection with the death of 64-year-old Mohammed Al Quraishi, as detailed by the City of Houston News.
The incident unfolded at approximately 6:55 a.m. on the previous Friday when HPD patrol officers responded to a call about a suspicious event at 7598 Harwin Drive. Upon arriving, they found Al Quraishi unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a business, Randolph, who was at the scene admitted to officers that he had shot the victim, after which he was disarmed and detained. Although paramedics arrived swiftly, Al Quraishi was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted by detectives, subsequent to which Randolph was charged with murder. He has since been transported to the Harris County jail. No information about the motive behind the shooting or the relationship between Randolph and Al Quraishi has been disclosed at this time.
