A somber scene unfolded in northeast Houston yesterday when a man was found deceased from gunshot wounds outside a Fiesta Mart. The incident took place near a METRO bus stop located at 9419 Mesa Drive, as confirmed by the Houston Police Department's Watch Command via FOX 26 Houston. HPD received the call at 11:29 a.m. with officers and the Houston Fire Department responding to the scene, where the man was declared dead shortly after their arrival.
A preliminary investigation suggested the victim and suspected shooter were in a heated argument as they walked down the street. According to police, the confrontation escalated when the victim did something to make the suspect feel threatened, ultimately leading the suspect to fatally shoot the man. The Houston Police Department has yet to publicly identify the victim and no specific details about the suspect have been provided at this time.
