In the usual grind of the day's traffic, a stranded motor vehicle became the focus of law enforcement on the busy lanes of W. Rankin Road. According to a recent post on the official Facebook page of Constable Mark Herman's Office, an observant deputy encountered the vehicle on Friday. The car not only caused an obstruction but also housed Quentin Edison, a man with two open warrants to his name.
The warrants for Edison's arrest pertained to the Unlawful Carry of a Weapon with Felony Convictions, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The details, laid out plainly in Herman's social media update, paint a scene of routine police work. However, during the inventory of the towed vehicle, deputies uncovered further evidence — a glass pipe with drug residue and a plastic vial containing .56 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine.
"Quentin Edison was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance. His total bond for the warrants was set at $17,500.00 out of the 180th District Court. He is awaiting bond for the new charge," Constable Mark Herman’s Facebook post confirmed.
