The Houston Police Department arrived at the scene shortly after 6:30 a.m. today to discover one man dead from multiple gunshot wounds, as reported by ABC13. The suspect, who was also working as a security guard for the same company, has been taken into police custody.

According to officials, the tragic incident unfolded when the suspect came to the location and proceeded to fatally shoot the victim, who was actively on duty, before calling the police to report the shooting himself. Assistant Chief Yasar Bashir of the Houston Police Department shared some details with the media.
