Tragedy struck last night when Houston police discovered the body of a woman who had been fatally shot at an apartment complex on 9430 Concourse Drive.
Officials responded to the emergency call about 11:40 p.m. to find the woman, whose identity has yet to be revealed pending confirmation from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds the Houston Fire Department paramedics were on the scene, and pronounced her deceased.
The Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, including Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan, are spearheading the investigation into the incident. According to their initial report, the victim was seen moments before the shooting in the company of a man, identified simply as a Hispanic male, who is currently a suspect in the case.
Security footage capturing images of the man in question has been released in connection with the news release and authorities are urging the public to come forth with any relevant information which could be delivered either to the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or, for those who wish to remain anonymous, tips could also be conveyed through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
