The Houston Police Department is currently seeking public help in identifying a shoplifting suspect who turned violent while absconding with merchandise, according to a recent report. The incident in question occurred on Wednesday, July 24, at approximately 2:15 pm at a shoe store situated within the 5300 block of W. 34th Street in Houston, Texas.
An employee, upon recognizing the individual as a repetitive offender, positioned themselves near the store's exit in anticipation. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male donning a black shirt and black pants, grabbed a pair of Jordan shoes, then, with intention, walked out of the store without any effort to settle the cost. During his attempted flight, he confronted and assaulted an employee who attempted to intervene, before fleeing the scene, as reported by the Houston Police Department's Robbery Division.
