Houston Police Seeking Driver in Fatal Hit-and-Run on Southwest Freeway

Houston police are currently investigating a hit-and-run incident that resulted in a fatality at 3000 Southwest Freeway early Saturday morning. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Saul Rodriguez Jaimes, was reportedly navigating in and out of traffic lanes before the crash occurred.

The Houston Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Division, comprised of Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. Hoang, detailed that a witness saw a man walking erratically on the service road near the address. Unfortunately, he was struck by a black sedan, which chose to rapidly flee the scene without stopping to provide any assistance. As of now, details about the sedan or the driver remain scarce, reported City of Houston News.

Following the incident, Houston Fire Department paramedics attended to Jaimes; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The authorities have yet to release additional information on a potential suspect or a precise vehicle description relating to the tragic event.
