Iconic Denver Eatery Casa Bonita to Open Reservations to Public in OctoberSource: Google Street View

After operating on an invitation-only basis for over a year, Casa Bonita, the iconic Denver-area restaurant, is set to open its reservation system to the general public later this month. The change will go into effect starting at 3 p.m. on September 16, with the new policy allowing for reservations from October 1 onward. Known for its cliff divers, a cave, and sopapillas, Casa Bonita has been a staple of the local dining scene, according to 9News.

The restaurant's owners Trey Parker and Matt Stone have explained that the delay in opening reservations to all was to sort out the operational "kinks" of such a distinctive venue, as stated by The Denver Post. Starting October, customers will no longer need to purchase a pre-paid ticket, instead, they can reserve a spot much like any other restaurant and will only pay at the end of their meal, a scheme that will blend more traditional dining practices into the Casa Bonita experience.

With the new system, table service will be standard for all guests and the earlier buffet line will be done away with. Despite these changes, the cost of dining at Casa Bonita will remain the same, with adult entrees priced between $29.99 and $39.99 and children's meals from $19.99 to $24.99, as reported by The Denver Post. Additionally, while service staff are paid an hourly wage, checks will now include a tip line for patrons who wish to add a gratuity.

While the dining format will see significant changes, the entertainment aspects that make Casa Bonita a unique experience are expected to remain largely the same. Guests can still anticipate enjoying attractions such as cliff divers, Black Bart’s Cave, live mariachi, the gorilla, and puppet shows after their meals. However, Stone and Parker have left the door open for possible surprises, hinting at undisclosed changes that may enhance the Casa Bonita experience. "Much of your Casa Bonita experience will remain the same, creating great memories for all," as detailed by KDVR.
