Two inebriated drivers managed to collide their vehicles on Labor Day in Marysville, with one initially choosing to flee the scene. The Marysville Police Department reported on their Facebook page that the incident unfolded around 8 PM on September 2. Arriving officers found one driver in a compromised state, clearly intoxicated.
While police were managing the aftermath of the initial crash, the driver of the second vehicle, who had fled the scene, was found and also determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Despite the potential danger, no injuries were reported in the Labor Day incident. Both drivers were arrested and booked at the Yuba County Jail.
The actions of the Marysville Police Department were later praised for their swift and effective response to the unusual crash. Duly noting the diligence of the officers, the original social media report detailed, "Kudos to the officers on duty for swiftly locating the second vehicle. Their excellent teamwork is commendable." It's a rare occasion when two wrongs don’t make a right, but instead lead to the swift administration of justice.
