Crews were able to contain the fire to a limited area, although as a precaution, patient admissions in the emergency department have been temporarily halted and redirected. In response to the potential threat, a mass casualty incident was declared, an initiative intended to marshal additional emergency medical services resources in case patient evacuations became necessary. However, it was ultimately determined that no patients needed to be removed from the building.
