
The manhunt intensifies in Kenosha as authorities continue to search for Lawrence G. Franklin Jr., the 25-year-old suspect connected to the murder of Amiah Prather and her unborn baby, with officials urging anyone with information to step forward. According to WISN, Franklin, who has distinguished neck tattoos and tattoos on both arms and wrists, is believed to be armed and dangerous, and the Kenosha Police Department is warning the public not to approach him but to contact law enforcement immediately if he is spotted.
The police have disclosed that the suspect had a known association with the victim, 22-year-old Amiah Prather, indicating the act was targeted and not a random incident of violence, he has connections in Kenosha, Racine, and South Milwaukee, and was last seen in Kenosha near the intersection of 40th Street and 11th Avenue on Friday evening, they have also indicated that individuals who have aided the suspect after the crime could face legal repercussions as assisting a felon constitutes a felony in its own right. As reported by FOX6, the Kenosha Police Department's Major Investigative Group is currently spearheading the search efforts and is calling on the community for help in locating Franklin.
An update from the Kenosha Police Department shared via WTMJ at 1:45 pm on September 9 revealed that authorities are not only on the lookout for Franklin but also several individuals who allegedly assisted him after the committing the murder, the specific details of their involvement have not been released, however, the police urge anyone with information to come forward.
