Residents of Kirkland should note the City Council meeting on Tuesday. The meeting will be held both in person and online via Zoom to make it more accessible for the community.
According to an announcement on the City of Kirkland's official website, the City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. will cover topics including a presentation on Energy Smart Eastside and potential utility rate changes for the next two years. The council will also review a proposal for a combined Seattle Kraken Iceplex and Kirkland Community Center. Additionally, there will be three public hearings on revenue sources for the 2025-2026 budget and the Council’s stance on Initiative Measures 2066 and 2117.
Before the evening meeting, a study session at 5:30 p.m. will cover the 2025-2026 Human Services Grant Funding Recommendations and options for the Houghton Village Development Plan.
