A 37-year-old man, Garrett Ryan Luddeke, faces charges following a bank robbery earlier this month in Kyle, Texas. The arrest came after Kyle Police Department detectives and crime analysts identified the getaway vehicle used in the robbery at Broadway Bank on September 7.
An immediate report from bank employees kicked off the investigation. Witnesses described the thief as a white male, who escaped in a white passenger vehicle. The Kyle Police Department, working with the La Vernia Police Department, was able to track down the suspect's car, a 2019 white Chevrolet Malibu, leading them to Luddeke as the registered owner, CBS Austin reported.
Luddeke was arrested on September 13 after obtaining an arrest warrant on September 12. Following his apprehension, he was released on a $40,000 bond from Wilson County Jail. Local law enforcement's rapid response and effective collaboration among departments have drawn commendation from officials.
