The Laredo Sector Border Patrol has launched the Youth of the Month program for the 2024-2025 school year. This initiative aims to recognize and encourage academic excellence among high schools in the Laredo area, as documented in a release by CBP.
Yesterday, the Laredo Sector Border Patrol, along with community program partners, recognized 11 seniors from Laredo area high schools with the prestigious Laredo Sector Border Patrol Youth of the Month award. The awardees were celebrated at a ceremony held at United High School.
The event was not just a pat on the back; it stood as a testament to the unwavering dedication these young scholars have shown, an occasion graced by figures like Attorney at Law Guillermo Del Barrio and Hebbronville Station, Patrol Agent in Charge Juan Lara, who both spoke highly of the criterion that went into selecting these accomplishments. During their talks, which were part of the official proceedings, the students were acknowledged not just for their scholarly efforts but for embodying what it means to strive towards greater heights against the odds.
