Early Thursday morning, law enforcement responded to a robbery at a dispensary in Pottawatomie County, leading to a pursuit of at least four suspects, according to the county sheriff's office. The incident, which began near Hazel Dell Rd. around 4:30 a.m., escalated when suspects fled the scene in two vehicles. After a high-speed chase, one vehicle crashed near SE 59th St. and Choctaw Rd., where the suspects abandoned the car and evaded capture, as reported by KFOR.
The pursuit drew in multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, which provided assistance to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Deputies. The concentrated search for the suspects ensued in an area near Southeast 59th Street, and South Choctaw Road, and authorities have raised concerns that the suspects could be armed, the NEWS 9 reported.
Additional support from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Kickapoo Tribal Police, and the Oklahoma City Police Department was called in, including the deployment of a helicopter to aid in the manhunt.
