Los Angeles residents looking to plan their week can expect a series of foggy mornings followed by clear afternoons, according to the latest weather forecast. The forecast for today calls for "patchy fog before 11am," after which the clouds should begin to clear, with a high nearing 79 degrees and winds shifting from south to southwest, coming in at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Tonight's conditions will mirror the morning's with patchy fog reemerging after 11 pm, and the clouds once again on the increase, with temperatures dropping to around 59 degrees. The southwest wind will ease off 5 to 10 mph, later becoming light, and variable, in the evening. As we move into Thursday, the pattern of morning fog and cloudy skies is expected to continue before another gradual clearing, with the high similarly pitched, near 78 degrees.
The rest of the week appears consistent with this pattern. "Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 80," states the National Weather Service's prediction for Friday. While evenings will bring back the fog and increase cloud cover, daytime should afford Los Angelenos plenty of sunshine with temperatures staying comfortably near the 80-degree mark through the weekend.
Looking ahead to the start of the next work week, the city is forecast to see a modest rise in temperatures. "Sunny, with a high near 85," the National Weather Service describes Monday's weather, climbing to a high near 87 by Tuesday. Evening conditions will remain mostly clear, with the lows incrementally climbing to the mid-60s.
