A man has been left in a critical state following a late-night collision involving his mini-motorcycle and a car on San Antonio's west side. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. near Dugas Dr and Filmore Dr, according to News 4 San Antonio. Police reports suggest the rider of the mini-motorcycle disregarded a stop sign, which led to the crash with a black sedan.
Upon the collision, the driver of the sedan did not flee the scene but rather stopped to provide aid to the injured man before emergency services arrived and transported him to the hospital in critical condition as detailed in a report by KENS 5. The San Antonio Police Department has highlighted that the mini motorcycle was "not street legal and did not have proper lighting or reflective devices on it," which might have contributed to the accident.
The investigation into the crash is currently ongoing, with more details expected to be released as they become available. The SAPD has not released any further information regarding the condition of the man involved in the collision.
