A man was arrested outside a rally for former President Donald Trump in Walker, Michigan after he drove past a vehicle checkpoint and claimed to have an explosive in his trunk. As detailed by MLive, the rally at FALK Production saw approximately 1,500 attendees, though the incident did not disrupt the event.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released, led police on a short chase before being detained in a neighboring business parking lot. Despite the alleged bomb threat, no explosives were found in the vehicle, only lawn fertilizer, FOX 17 reported. Keith Mankel, Walker's chief of police, noted in a statement, "There was a comment about a possible explosive device, however nothing was located."

The individual is facing several charges authorized by the Kent County Prosecutor's Office, including one count of false report or threat of terrorism, one count of explosives-possession of bombs with unlawful intent, one count of police officer 3rd degree, and one count of resisting/obstructing police officer. The suspect is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
