A man was fatally shot Wednesday in West Seattle, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities. According to the SPD Blotter, the 29-year-old victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a business on the 4600 block of 36th Avenue Southwest.
The Seattle Police Department responded to the 911 calls regarding the shooting at around 4 pm near Southwest Snoqualmie Street, and Southwest Alaska Street. Despite the efforts of the Seattle Fire Department medics who transported the man to Harborview Medical Center, the victim, unfortunately, died from his injuries.
Witnesses at the scene have provided a description of the possible suspect, identified as a black male dressed in black and wearing a surgical mask. Homicide detectives are now diligently interviewing witnesses, and reviewing evidence to piece together the events that led to the shooting.
