A 32-year-old man was hospitalized after sustaining a gunshot wound while standing outside his home on the West side of San Antonio. The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on Friday near the corner of Northwest 19th Street and Lombrano Street, according to a report by FOX San Antonio. The victim was beside a parked vehicle when an unidentified suspect approached him on foot and fired multiple shots, one of which struck the victim in the lower extremity.
Despite several rounds hitting an unoccupied vehicle and a house, the victim, who was seriously injured by the suspect that managed to escape on foot, has not yet been apprehended. The events that led up to the shooting remain unclear. The victim was transported to the hospital by family members where he was interviewed by police, as Here's San Antonio detailed.
The ongoing investigation is targeted towards uncovering the motive behind the attack and identifying the fugitive responsible for the shooting.
