A man is now listed in serious condition after being shot multiple times yesterday in Muskegon Heights. Police responded to the scene at approximately 4:40 p.m. following reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of Howden Street, as MLive reported.
According to the Muskegon Heights Police Department, upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the 36-year-old resident of Muskegon Heights in the front yard of a Howden Street home. The call which was received by Muskegon Central Dispatch was about a victim who had left running from the backyard where the shooting occurred, detailed in a report by WZZM13.
The victim was transported to Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital and was said to have several gunshot wounds. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Roosevelt Park, Norton Shores, Muskegon, and Fruitport Township Police Departments, assisted at the scene. State detectives have joined the Muskegon Heights detectives in pursuit of the investigation, as per the information given by the authorities to WOODTV.
