A traffic stop by a deputy from Constable Mark Herman's Special Operations Unit led to the arrest of a man wanted for assaulting a pregnant individual. The event, which occurred on August 27 was initiated in the 19500 block of the North Freeway when Abdullah Myers was pulled over for a traffic violation.
During the stop, it was revealed that Myers had an outstanding felony warrant for Assault of a Pregnant Person. The Constable’s Office indicated that the warrant was to swiftly bring to justice an individual accused of a particularly vulnerable victim. "Abdullah Myers was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the felony warrant. His bond was set at $15,000.00 out of the 185th District Court," stated Constable Mark Herman in a report shared on the office's Facebook page.
