Early Sunday morning, a search was underway in the area of Prince Phillip Way and Field Stream Ln., where the Manor Police Department, alongside the Travis County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit and Austin Travis County EMS Starflight, were on the hunt for three male suspects. According to a CBS Austin report, the individuals were involved in a theft at a local 7-11 and subsequently fled from officers in a stolen vehicle.
Manor Police Department shared descriptions of the suspects on their Facebook page, urging residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activities. Residents of the Shadowglen subdivision, especially, were encouraged to quickly call 9-1-1 if they encountered any suspicious people or behaviors. The descriptions provided included a male with an afro wearing a white top, a male in a blue shirt with black pants, and another male dressed entirely in black.
The Manor Police Department's post on Facebook indicated that the joint search involving multiple agencies is a response to both the initial theft and the flight incident. The details of the theft at the 7 11 have not been made public, but the escape in a stolen vehicle has heightened the law enforcement response.
