Milwaukee Brewers fans flocked to American Family Field early Friday for a special drive-thru 'postseason prep rally.' The event buzzed with excitement as attendees enjoyed the team spirit and secured early access to postseason tickets, which officially went on sale at 10 a.m, as reported by WISN.
As reported by CBS 58, the Brewers organization turned the morning into a smorgasbord of fan appreciation activities that included dishing out free bratwursts, Brewers car flags, and rally towels supplied by none other than Wisconsin sports icons such as Robin Yount, Donald Driver, and Sidney Moncrief. The first fan in line, identified simply as Sandy, arrived before the crack of dawn, fully clad in Brewers regalia, telling CBS 58, "I couldn't sleep. I got up, started looking at my outfits, put my jewelry on and got down here."
Action wasn't just relegated to the queue for swag and snacks. TMJ4's Andrea Williams was on the scene, taking part in a bit of good-natured competition with the Racing Sausages – a Brewers game-day staple – and coming out victorious. Her moment of glory wasn't the only highlight; she also managed to get some screen time with the visiting sports legends, sharing an interview with Moncrief and former Badgers Basketball star Brian Butch, which fans can view courtesy of TMJ4.
Underpinning the celebratory air was the distinct advantage given to fans to quickly secure a spot at the postseason games with a special QR code, enabling them to purchase tickets in advance of the general public. This token of appreciation was announced by WISN, who noted that the first 5,000 fans were treated to this privilege. To add, evergreen great Robin Yount remained loyal to the Brewer blue reflecting on his enduring ties to the team, "I'm still a Brewer and I want the Brewers to win," he told CBS 58.
