The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating possible human remains found near the Milwaukee River on Saturday, September 21. Recovery efforts took place near MLK Drive and Highland after police were notified around 5:09 p.m., according to FOX 6 Now.
In their ongoing investigation, the police have confirmed the recovery of the remains, which around 5 p.m. located on the 200 block of West Highland Avenue, were situated near the water's edge, as per WISN. However, information is scarce, as details of the discovery and any potential identification continue to evade public release during the active investigations.
Authorities have stated that, although the investigation is confidential, the remains found are not linked to the case of Sade Robinson, a teenager whose tragic death in April impacted the local community, according to TMJ4.
The Milwaukee Police encourage anyone with relevant information to come forward by calling 414-935-7360. For those who prefer to remain anonymous, they can contact Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or use the P3 Tips app, helping to uncover details related to the investigation while keeping their identity confidential.
