The past week saw Michels crews working hard post-Labor Day, tackling the installation of natural gas mains along several streets which included Mount View Avenue from Wayzata Boulevard to Penn Avenue S., Russell Avenue S. from Mount View Avenue to Wayzata Boulevard, and Queen Avenue S. from Mount View Avenue to Wayzata Boulevard, as detailed by CenterPoint Energy, Minnesota.
This week's efforts will see mains laid on Mount View Avenue heading from Penn Avenue S. to Oliver Avenue S. "No parking" signs have already cropped up like unwelcome dandelions along Cedar Lake Road, from Sheridan Avenue S. to Penn Avenue S, as well as the east side of Thomas Avenue S., with the north side of Mount View Avenue claiming the unwanted adornments too, as per CenterPoint Energy, Minnesota.
The work is scheduled to continue into the week of September 16, with Morgan Avenue S., Newton Avenue S., and Oliver Avenue S. on the docket, between Laurel Avenue W. and Mount View Avenue. And while a date has yet to be marked on the calendar, a connecting operation is queued up for Queen Avenue S. at the intersection of Chestnut Avenue to tie the new main to the existing one.
