A sobering incident disrupted the Pflugerville community on Friday afternoon when a minor was struck by a vehicle operated by a driver suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. According to KXAN, the collision took place close to the intersection of southbound Farm to Market 685 and Kelly Lane.
The attending authorities from the Pflugerville Police Department were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:45 p.m. and found that the minor had sustained serious injuries in the crash. The child was immediately transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center for treatment of the injuries incurred. The driver implicated in the event was detained by the police and is facing charges of intoxication assault.
