In a sobering turn of events in Montclair, a man has been detained in connection with the death of his wife, after she was found with fatal stab wounds inside their home. As per the KTLA and a statement released by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, Martin Torres-Espindola, 57, was arrested and is alleged to have murdered his wife, Maria Torres. The tragedy occurred on the afternoon of September 6, 2024, when Chino Hills deputies were dispatched to their residence on Hartford Lane following reports of the crime.
Upon their arrival just after noon, deputies discovered the body of 54-year-old Maria Torres, tragically marking the scene with silence where life once dwelled. Injured and within the confinements of the home he shared with his spouse, Torres-Espindola was located by the responding officers. After receiving the necessary medical treatment for his self-afflicted injuries, Torres-Espindola was subsequently taken into custody. He remains incarcerated at the West Valley Detention Center without the option of bail.
