Early this morning, the city of Milwaukee woke to the news of multiple shootings, resulting in one fatality and several injuries. According to WISN, Milwaukee police investigated a shooting on 77th Street and Capitol Drive around 4 a.m., where a white SUV was the center of attention, surrounded by evidence markers. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the death, though details surrounding the motive and suspects involved were initially scarce.
Additional information revealed by CBS58 disclosed that the victim was a 29-year-old individual, supposedly killed as a result of an argument. The violence, however, was not limited to a single incident. During another altercation at approximately 2 a.m., a 23-year-old man became a non-fatal casualty when a dispute escalated into gunfire while he was in his vehicle. He was promptly treated at a local hospital, as reported by FOX6 News. Roughly two hours before the fatal shooting, at 42nd and North, a 36-year-old also sustained injuries from gunshot wounds. This victim's injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
