
Early Monday morning, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred at the intersection of National Avenue and Miller Park Way near American Family Field. Milwaukee police are investigating the incident, which involved at least one other vehicle and led to the closure of northbound lanes between Greenfield and National Avenue, as reported by FOX 6 Milwaukee.
Photos from the scene show that the motorcycle was severely damaged and the SUV had noticeable front-end and side damage. The involvement of the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirms that the incident was fatal. There is no current information on other possible injuries, but TMJ4 is working to provide more details and is awaiting responses from the Milwaukee Police Department.
This incident, which occurred just before the local rush of morning traffic at approximately 6 a.m. Observations from News Chopper 12 showed the motorcycle at a stop in the middle of the intersection. An SUV was noted with noticeable damage to the passenger side, off to the side of the road, as WISN reported.
The cause of the crash is yet to be determined, and police are piecing together the circumstances that led up to the collision. Meanwhile, commuters are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid the area of National Avenue and Miller Park Way.
