A tragic traffic incident in Northeast Philadelphia claimed the life of a motorcyclist after a collision with both a box truck and a vehicle yesterday afternoon. NBC Philadelphia reports that the crash occurred around 3 p.m. on Woodhaven Road near Thornton Road.

Per police, a 34-year-old man was riding eastbound when the accident unfolded, leading to his death. He collided with the two vehicles, whose drivers have not yet been disclosed by the authorities as to whether they stopped following the crash. The victim was pronounced dead by medics at the scene at 3:19 p.m., as detailed by officials in a statement to media. 6abc added that as of now, the identity of the deceased motorcyclist has yet to be released.

In the aftermath of the collision, Woodhaven Road's traffic flow was significantly affected, with closures in both directions as part of the investigation process. According to FOX 29, both the eastbound and westbound lanes were closed indefinitely, although the westbound side reopened around 5:40 p.m.
