A late-night high-speed chase tore through multiple Florida counties reaching speeds upwards of 130 mph, as captured by a trooper's dashcam, concluding with an arrest late Tuesday. The incident initiated in Polk County, when Anthony Jermaine Hoyte, 34, fled from deputies in a Mercedes sedan propelling east on I-4, prompting Florida Highway Patrol to engage, as reported by WFLA.
In a relentless progression that cut through Osceola and Orange counties Hoyte evaded troopers attempting to execute a traffic stop, sustaining breakneck velocities; the pursuit saw Hoyte making an exit onto SR-408, maneuvering to the Turnpike and returning to I-4, where a PIT maneuver eventually halted him, FOX 13 details show.
Multiple charges have been leveled against Hoyte, including fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, and a separate Georgia warrant detailing an aggravated assault with a firearm. Following the termination of the pursuit and subsequent arrest, Hoyte was confined to the Orange County Jail, per information from the Florida Highway Patrol obtained by WTSP.
