A 13-year-old 8th grade student from H.G. Hill Middle School was taken into custody after admitting to making a verbal threat against their school. The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department (MNPD), backed by the Rapid School Safety Team, responded promptly to the situation. The incident has raised concerns.

The teen, whose identity has not been shared due to age, is facing charges for "making threats of violence against schools and false reporting of a threat," as stated in the Nashville government's official news release.
