The Nashville Police Department has taken into custody three men implicated in the trafficking of a 13-year-old girl from Kentucky. The arrests follow a detailed investigation by the department's Youth Services Division, as reported by the Nashville Metro Government. The girl had been missing since last Christmas Eve and was found in early January.
The latest individual apprehended, Octavius Stepheny, 31, faces charges for trafficking for a commercial sex act and is currently held on a $100,000 bond. Prior to Stepheny’s arrest, Kemar Robinson, 32, was arrested and held on numerous charges, including rape, aggravated statutory rape, and the especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor with a bond set at $85,000. Corey Chambers, 47, also faces charges for aggravated statutory rape and his bail was set at $75,000.
These developments point to the abuse and exploitation faced by the young girl. Authorities believe that the victim was in Nashville for two weeks where she may have had involvements with others besides the three accused men. The investigation, leaded by Detective Christopher Beery, has been ongoing in an effort to uncover the full extent of this criminal network.
Police are actively seeking the public’s aid to locate Wilbert Pollard, 26, considered a person of interest. Pollard, believed to have essential information about the case, is wanted for questioning. The department urges anyone with information about Pollard's whereabouts or other related details to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
