Northwest Houston's culinary landscape is set to get a little more flavorful this fall as a slew of new eateries open their doors to the Cy-Fair and Bridgeland communities. Mak's Pub & Grill has already started serving up bar favorites on Fry Road since its launch earlier this month. Hugging the savory end of the spectrum with dishes like boudin balls and potato skins, this new spot complements the gelato sweetness poised to come from Gelato & Co., slated to expand its frosty empire to Bridgeland Central on Oct. 1, as reported by Houston Chronicle.

Meanwhile, Blaze Pizza has been firing up the neighborhood with more than just its customizable pies. The pizza place recently celebrated its newest location on Fry Road by dishing out approximately 1,300 free pizzas, a move that garnered local support and appreciation. "The lines were very long and the feedback I got from every guest and the locals was that they really showed appreciation for what Blaze Pizza was doing," Baryalay Razi, the owner, told Houston Chronicle.

Moving beyond pizza and pub fare, Tim Hortons is poised to bring Canadian coffee culture to Cypress by 2025, solidifying the suburb's status as a growing foodie haven. Filling in the gaps, Tacos Frontera and Juanita's Mexican Restaurant will serve up Tijuana style tacos and homestyle Mexican dishes, respectively, rounding out the diverse dining options coming to the area.

Baryalay Razi and Layma Hudson, the franchisees of Blaze Pizza, celebrated their grand opening on August 20 with a special event that included free 11-inch pizzas for every guest who visited the store. On top of that, the first 50 people in line won an extravagant prize—free pizza each week for a year, according to details divulged in an interview with Community Impact. With over 300 locations, the Georgia-based Blaze Pizza takes pride in its build-your-own pizza concept, offering a broad choice of over 45 ingredients to satisfy local cravings.
