According to legal filings and reports from KENS 5, Libre by Nexus' clients were often oblivious to the real terms they were assenting to, with some individuals ending up paying substantially more than the bail bonds' face value— sometimes reaching a nonrefundable sum exceeding $17,000 on a $10,000 bond. Alongside filing a complaint with the Federal Consumer Protection Bureau as recommended for affected individuals, there's uncertainty surrounding the retrieval of client files post-sale of the company, further complicating restitution claims.
