A tragic vehicle collision in Palm Coast claimed the life of a 60-year-old man on Monday. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred on Palm Coast Parkway near Old Kings Road. The man, who was driving an SUV, perished after his vehicle side-swiped another SUV and then collided with the rear of a different car. According to First Coast News, the two vehicles that were struck remained stationary during the accident, and the drivers within them were reportedly unharmed.
Details shared by News4Jax indicate that after the initial impact, the man's SUV proceeded to hit the rear of the subsequent vehicle. First responders transported the man to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. It has been confirmed that all involved motorists were wearing their seat belts at the time of an accident.
This incident is the second deadly traffic event in Palm Coast on the same day. Earlier, a 17-year-old cyclist was struck and killed.
