Palmdale is set to come alive with its Kaleidoscope Fall Frenzy, an art and community festival free to the public. Scheduled for October 11 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and October 12 from 11:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M., this event promises two days of performances, tastings, and hands-on artistic activities. It's all happening at the Palmdale Amphitheater, a spot that's becoming synonymous with family fun and cultural gatherings in the city.
Mayor Austin Bishop is pumped about bringing locals together for what's shaping up to be a vibrant fall celebration. "I’m looking forward to bringing the community together at the historic Palmdale Amphitheater for the Kaleidoscope Fall Frenzy,” he said in an announcement. The lineup boasts everything from live music and dance to drone shows and tethered hot-air balloon rides, weather permitting. Notably, the Friday evening starts with music stylings from The Dreamboats, followed by a Taylor Swift tribute—the mention of which could send Swifties into a frenzy, in a good way.
True to the city's inclusive spirit, Saturday's schedule is equally packed, with performances by a mix of groups including Paddy's Pig and Incendio slated for the Tapestry Stage, while the Mosaic Stage will feature a variety of dance troupes. For those with the rhythm in them, a Professional Dance Crew Workshop is happening. Meanwhile, local artisans and craftsmen add a tangible beauty to the event with their unique treasures.
The festival's flavor profile is equally impressive, with a diverse range of local libations on offer. Wine enthusiasts can sip wines from Two Tracks Cellars among others, while beer lovers can savor crafts from Bravery Brewing and its local peers. And let’s not forget the eats—artisanal cheeses, handcrafted chocolates, and street food that spans the globe. There's more than enough to please all kinds of palates.
No Duh, an America's premier No Doubt tribute band, will be taking over the stage before those in attendance are treated to an eye-popping drone light show—a fitting crescendo to what's sure to be a memorable shindig. Kids, too, have a host of activities to dive into, from pumpkin painting and petting zoos to bubble shows and musical installations. It's this diversity that captures the essence of Kaleidoscope Fall Frenzy—the blend of the arts, community spirit, and good old family-friendly entertainment.
Free parking is available adjacent to the venue, which is an always-welcomed perk. Leave the pets and picnic baskets at home—service animals are welcome, but the festival is doing one better with a carefully curated selection of vendors and food that’ll keep attendees well-fed and thoroughly entertained.
