Pentatonix is coming back to Grand Rapids with their festive tunes. The acclaimed a cappella group is on the road again, delivering their "Hallelujah! It's A Christmas Tour" to fans and yuletide enthusiasts across the nation. According to WOOD TV, the tour will make its way to Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena on Dec. 11, with ticket sales kicking off at 10 a.m. this Friday.
Fresh off the release of their latest holiday album, "The Greatest Christmas Hits," Pentatonix is expected to deck the halls with a repertoire that includes eight new tracks. These songs have not just found their way onto holiday playlists but have also graced the charts; "Please Santa Please" recently became a top radio hit. According to MLive, the album spent ten weeks dominating Billboard's Holiday Albums chart. This marks another high note for an ensemble that has to quickly sell over 10 million records.
The Giant Center in Hershey will also bask in the festive glow of Pentatonix's fifth visit, as reported by PennLive. Those eager to catch the group before they make their way to Michigan can purchase presale tickets starting Sept. 4, with general sales commencing two days later on Ticketmaster. The ensemble's expansive tour schedule promises to spread holiday cheer far and wide, from coastal cities to the heartland's wintry mix.
Fans of Pentatonix have witnessed the group evolve from reality show victors to perennial chart-toppers since their formation in 2011. The three founding members, Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, and Kirstin Maldonado, went on to join forces with Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee to create the quintet we know today. Their collective talent has garnered three GRAMMY awards and made them mainstays in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia tours. The group returns to the stage to enchant audiences once more with a cappella renditions that have to become synonymous with the Christmas season.
