Residents of Pinal County, take note - jury duty questionnaires are landing in mailboxes this week. As Civic Alert from Pinal County Government advised, these questionnaires are the first step for locals who might soon find themselves in a jury box. Those chosen for jury duty are selected at random from the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division and Pinal County Voter Registration rolls.
This questionnaire is just a preliminary step; it doesn’t mean a summons for duty yet. The county wants to simplify the process, so completing it online is preferred. This method saves time and keeps responses secure, and it can be done on the go. Just remember to submit it within 10 days to avoid any legal issues. If health issues are a reason for seeking an excuse, Pinal County requires a medical form to be submitted along with the completed questionnaire. Whether submitting on paper or online, avoid sending both; if the online option is used, skip the mail.
The online questionnaire is a government nudge for efficiency. Those who'd rather not get a call directly can dial 520-509-3555 for further guidance.
