Pittsburgh police are on the lookout for two suspects in connection with a burglary at the posh Duquesne Club at the end of last month. The incident, which unfolded close to midnight on August 27, saw the alleged perpetrators enter a room of the club located at 325 6th Ave. through an open window after they gained access from a nearby parking garage, as WTAE reported.
An employee seemingly interrupted the burglary, which resulted in the suspects abandoning their loot before hastily departing the scene. Zone 2 police detailed that the pair entered through the window left ajar to access the connecting parking garages. In their escape, startled by an employee inside the building, the suspects dropped items they were attempting to steal in a room, as per information provided by authorities.
No arrests have been made as of now, and law enforcement is urging anyone who might have knowledge of the incident to come forward. Descriptions of the suspects remain brief, and the Pittsburgh Police are seeking tips that could lead to their identification.
Officials have not disclosed the value or nature of the items that were nearly stolen. Audacy reports that an observant employee "scared off" the suspects in the room where the incident occurred.
