Today, Residents of Homewood South were disrupted by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 7:45 a.m., Pittsburgh Police, along with Fire and EMS units, responded to a reported shooting on the 7000 block of Kelly Street. Upon their arrival, an adult female victim was discovered in the rear courtyard of a building, suffering from gunshot wounds, as reported by Pittsburgh Public Safety.
The victim was quickly transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The scene soon became a hive of investigative activity as the Mobile Crime Unit was summoned to gather evidence, marking the beginning of what appears to be a complex investigation.
