A local school bus driver who also held the position of a police chaplain is now facing grave allegations of child pornography. Michael Singer, associated with Sun Coach Lines, which transports students to the Westinghouse Arts Academy Charter School, has been arrested on several charges, as reported by WPXI News.

These pertain to him allegedly sending and receiving explicit images with a student he drove to school. The case came to the attention of authorities about a week ago following a report by a concerned mother who suspected her son was being groomed by Singer. Initial investigations revealed Singer exchanging such material with the 17-year-old student on a dating app. However, he claimed to be unaware that he was speaking to the same individual he drove to school, as per WPXI News. Despite his denial, the evidence led to his arrest and the levying of multiple charges, including possession and dissemination of child pornography, unlawful contact with a minor, and corruption of minors.

Singer, a part-time chaplain for the Pittsburgh Police, was supposed to offer moral guidance. However, the police quickly distanced themselves from him, saying he had little involvement and was no longer part of their program. "Michael Singer served nominally as a police chaplain, but he has not been actively involved with the bureau in several years. Effective today, he is no longer permitted access to any PBP facility - beyond what would be afforded to any member of the public - and he is no longer affiliated with the Pittsburgh Police Chaplains' Program," Pittsburgh police declared in a statement reported by CBS News.
