FOX 10 Phoenix reported that the incident took place near Interstate 17 at the underpass of the junction. Following the crash, footage from the scene displayed a civilian sedan and a Phoenix Police Tahoe both showing significant damage.
Initial calls to emergency services came in around 5:00 p.m., indicating the severity of the incident. According to a report by 12News, the two officers were in a marked SUV when the collision occurred. In the aftermath, the road was temporarily obstructed as crews worked to clear the area and provide medical treatment to the injured parties, the on-ramp to I-17 has been reopened following the police investigation.
Authorities have yet to disclose the identity of those involved or detail the circumstances that led to the crash. Both police officers sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for further evaluation. Similarly, the civilian involved was also treated on the scene before being hospitalized as well.

"Crews were called at 5 p.m. on Saturday to I-17 and Union Hills Drive due to an accident involving law enforcement officers," the Phoenix Fire Department conveyed to the community, as per 12News.
