A man from Pontiac, Michigan, has been taken into custody following the alleged fatal stabbing of his neighbor, authorities reported. The incident, which took place yesterday just after 8:15 a.m., occurred at a residence on the 100 block of Ypsilanti Avenue. The suspect and the victim, who were neighbors, allegedly engaged in an argument prior to the stabbing.

CBS News Detroit stated that the 50-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after the incident, a few blocks away, near the intersection of Walton Avenue and Baldwin Boulevard by deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office reported that the 41-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not yet been released to public.
