
A vehicle collision on Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova resulted in several injuries and landed one man in jail on serious charges. The Rancho Cordova Police Department found the driver showing signs of intoxication, including a strong smell of alcohol. The driver was detained as officers investigated the accident and his possible DUI.
During the detention, it was discovered that the driver was not only impaired but also illegally in possession of a concealed firearm, as reported by a Rancho Cordova Police Department Facebook post. The breathalyzer test showed the driver's blood alcohol content to be over twice the legal limit, leading to his arrest and booking into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of DUI and possession of a concealed firearm,
