In a recent push to keep the streets of Rancho Cordova safe, officers from the Rancho Cordova Police Department, alongside Sacramento County Probation Officers, have managed to seize an illegally possessed firearm from a local probationer. According to a Facebook post by the Rancho Cordova Police Department, the individual in question was discovered residing at a hotel within the area where a search of his room and vehicle revealed not only drug paraphernalia but also burglary tools and a loaded, unregistered revolver.
During the operation, they found that the probationer was violating his probation by having weapons, which he wasn't allowed to possess due to past convictions. Even though he tried to escape justice, his history caught up with him, resulting in his arrest and removing a danger from the community, as reported by the Rancho Cordova Police Department.
Diligence on behalf of the Rancho Cordova Police Department POP officers and Sacramento County Probation Officers has resulted in the suspect's arrest and subsequent detention at the Sacramento County Main Jail. The individual is facing multiple charges related not just to the possession of the aforementioned items but also to the violation of probation terms which quite strictly prohibit the possession of such contraband and potentially lethal armaments.
