Early Friday morning, commuters in Orange County experienced significant delays following a severe rollover crash. The incident took place at approximately 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of South Chickasaw Trail and Curry Ford Road, as reported by WFTV. At least two vehicles were involved in the crash, and one was consumed by fire, while the other was found overturned and suffering from major damage.
The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that the collision resulted in injuries. The specifics of these injuries, however, remain unclear at this time. According to WFTV, over a dozen first responders from Orange County Fire Rescue and the Florida Highway Patrol were responding to the emergency, and they could be seen addressing the aftermath of the crash.
Authorities shut down part of Chickasaw Trail to alleviate traffic congestion caused by the accident. Southbound lanes were particularly affected, and drivers were advised to take Goldenrod Road as a detour, WESH reports.
