Roseville Arson Suspect Behind Bars After The Gathering Inn Fire

On the night of September 8th, a fire broke out at The Gathering Inn on 201 Berkeley Drive in Roseville. The Roseville Police Department suspects the fire was arson. It started shortly after 11 pm. The Roseville Fire Department quickly put out the flames, and the police began investigating the area.

After the fire, authorities worked to determine its cause and soon concluded it was deliberately started. Physical evidence and surveillance footage supported the suspicion that the fire was arson.

34-year-old Matthew Brandon was identified as the suspect through surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts. This morning, he was arrested and booked into South Placer Jail at 10 am, according to local police.
