
Early Sunday morning, the Sacramento neighborhood of Seamist Dr became the site of a deadly shooting. According to the Sacramento Police Department Facebook page, officers arrived on the 2400 block following reports of gunfire. The incident, leaving one man fatally wounded, occurred just after 2:00 a.m., on September 22.
Police at the scene provided first aid until Sacramento Fire Personnel took over, but the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. As the investigation kicks off, no suspect information is presently available, and arrests have yet to be made. Crime scene investigators and homicide detectives have taken the lead, scouring the area for evidence, and seeking out witnesses who might shine light on this event, as per the Sacramento Police Department. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed, pending notification of next of kin by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
